La Prairie Giveaway - Saks (Union Square)

Dyanna Pure: Last week, we were lucky enough to score a one-on-one consultation with renowned NYC makeup artist Raychel Wade to extract some sage wisdom--as well get the latest scoop on what make-up to expect to see worn on the streets this fall. I asked Raychel what the biggest mistake made with cosmetics is, and she believes that most women spend too much time searching for that "miracle shade" that's going to suddenly make their face perfect. Her best advice is to have the confidence to try new things--without letting your make-up wear you.

Raychel's top looks for fall:
  1. Eyeliner: Creating a tightline on the inside of your top lid creates a polished day or evening look that can work for absolutely anyone. She recommends La Prairie Luxe Eye Liner Automatique ($50).
  2. Cream Blush: Brownish pink shades are always a great choice for fall. One small blot on the apple of your cheek can be expanded down and outwards in a three finger 'cat whisker' motion--but NOT extending further out than the parallels of your eyes. Raychel recommends La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush ($70) in Berry Glow.
  3. Lip Color: Rust-toned glosses are a hot trend for fall and can be worn subtly on their own for day, or as a topcoat over a deep colored lipstick at night. Raychel's choice is La Prairie Cellular Lip Colour Effects ($40) in Firefly Glace, and I must say I agree. Although the gloss has a slightly metallic taste, the color is ideal and stays moisturizing for hours without becoming sticky or uneven. It can even withstand a quick cocktail without needing any touch-up!
If you'd like to win any of Raychel's top picks for fall, leave us a comment (either here or on Facebook) or shoot us an email at DyannaPure@gmail.com telling us which product you'd like to receive and why. The contest closes in ten (10) days and three (3) winners will be chosen. Good luck!

---UPDATE (10/17)---

This contest is now CLOSED. Thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations to our three winners!

Bonjour!

I so agree that a chic strike of line can transform any look into the perfect one. That and a true smile! I alternate glasses and contacts and the liner works with both looks. You can take it more sophisticate or more fun, depending on the circumstances. I would love to win the La Prairie Luxe Eye Liner Automatique as I wear liner for years and you can't go wrong with La Prairie!

I'd like to be a contender for the gloss. color plus moisture is something I've yet to find in one solid product.

many thanks for this!

Wow, those products are expensive! I would be happy with any of them but eyeliner is always fun. I want to see your finished look! Your hair looks super cute, BTW!

I would like the luxe eye liner automatique. I would never ever leave my humble abode without wearing any eyeliner. I'm crossing fingers now...

Hi
I would love any of those great products, but especially the eyeliner as it would add to a more wintery makeup look!
Thanks

I would love love love to win the eyeliner. I've been experimenting with a more girly, finished look lately - I've typically been a quick-swipe-of-mascara-&-go kinda girl - but my student's budget doesn't allow for such fun things.

Thanks for the giveaway & for having a fabulous blog!

I've heard some lovely things about the La Prairie line...I'd like to receive the blush because my poor face is PALE to the Nth degree now that my summer tan has faded, and not in a trendy vampire way...this girl needs some color. For some reason winter always inspires me to put away my bright colors and break out the black on a daily basis...not exactly a look that brings out the meager natural rosiness in one's ghostly visage! Anyway, a giveaway is a great idea, and as always, I enjoy the street style showcase you guys put together. Us Oakland fashionistas would love to see you more often on our side of the bay. Come check out Oakland's First Friday art walk, there are tons of stylish folks roaming the streets!

awesome giveaway! i'd be all about the blush. i'm having fun playing with 'beachy' and cold weather colors to create that "i wear makeup but you can't tell" look.

The eyeliner sounds delish! Would love to win one! I tend to only apply makeup to my eyes, it's my favorite feature :)

I'd love to win the lip color. I'm such a lipstick junkie and need to update my lipstick for fall.

I think I'd like to win the eyeliner because I rarely wear anything on my lips or cheeks.

I would love to win the blush because I have only ever used powder blush and I think I need to experiment more. This would be the perfect opportunity!

Thanks for the contest and posts.
